8 Things You Should Never Do To Your Parents
There is nothing like having good parents. You need to
know how much some people crave to have them around. If you’ve got good
parents, you gotta love them! However, dealing with your parents can be tough, especially if they’re strict.
But we all have them, and we all have to deal with them. To make your life
easier, here are some guidelines on things you should never do to your parents:
1. Lie to them
They
will always know. I don’t know how, but they will. There were several things I
thought I got away with when I was younger, only to find out that my parents
knew immediately and let me think they didn’t know.
2. Disrespect them
Just
don’t do it. Seriously, it’s not worth it. Be respectful to your parents, and
they will respect you back.
3. Tell them you hate them
You
don’t hate them. You might not like them all the time, but you don’t hate
them.
4. Think they don’t know what it’s like to
be your age
They
do know! Instead of thinking they’re too old to know what your life is like,
clue them in on what you’re dealing with.
5. Ignore them
Giving
your parents the silent treatment is not the right move, trust me.
6. Avoid talking to them about important
things
You
should be able to talk to your parents about anything, everything.
7. Pit them against each other
You
know that thing where you ask one parent for something and they say no so you
go to the other one? Yeah, don’t do that. It’s not cool.
8. Put them in a bad situation
Don’t
do things that your parents can get in trouble for. For example, don’t do
things that can land them in trouble while trying to defend you.
