The King's Wild Dogs

A certain king has ten wild dogs. He uses them to torture and punish any of his servants who makes a mistake. One day, one of his servants gives him wrong opinion that the king frowns at it. He then order that the servant be thrown to the dogs.
The servant says, “I served you for ten years, and you do this to me? Please give me ten days before throwing me to the dogs”. The king agree he should be given ten days before thrown to the dogs.

In the ten days, the servant approach the guard in charge of the dogs and tells him he would like to serve and take care of the dogs for the next ten days. The guard looks baffled but agree. So the servant starts taking care of the dogs, feeding them, cleaning their house, bathing them, and providing all sorts of comfort for them.

Soon it reach ten days, the king order that the servant be thrown to the dogs for his punishment. The servant is thrown in. To the amazement of the king and others, the ravenous dogs only licks the feet of the servant. The king is baffled at what he is seeing. Then he says, “What has happened to my dogs?” The servant reply, “I served the dogs for only ten days, and they didn’t forget my service. Yet I served you for a whole ten years and you forgot all, at my first mistake”. The king feels remorseful to his mistake and order that the servant to be set free. Hmm...

This is a message to and for you and I who forgets so soon the good things others did for us at their mistakes and wrongs to us. I urge you not put out the history that is filled with good memories of nice time, because of a mistake you dislike. I suppose I made sense, right? Food for thought, no doubt. #DubemickyInspiringGreatnessDaily.
