Why
Buhari has not recorded video to address Nigerians – Femi Adesina
Femi
Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu
Buhari, has explained why a video of the President addressing Nigerians
formally has not been recorded.
According
to him, no video of President Buhari has been shot since he left Nigeria for a
second medical vacation abroad because he does not desire to be captured on
video camera.
He added that
Nigerians ought to, by now; understand the personality of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
Adesina stated this on Monday during an interview with Channels
Television’s Sunrise Daily which was monitored by DAILY POST.
He said: “It is a matter of personal style, there is no style that you can
call ‘the’ style. The style of our president is what you have seen on display
and by now two years after he came, I am sure that we should understand him.
“We should
know the kind of person he is, we should know how he prefers to do things and
that is how the President is.
“That just tells you that that is the way our President is, we elected him
willingly and we have seen that this is the way he is.”
It could be recalled that last weekend Buhari hosted a delegation of APC governors and
other Party leaders in London where he is undergoing medical treatment.
According
to the Governors, the President is doing well and has not lost his humour.
The
leader of the APC governors, Rochas Okorocha, confirmed to Mr Adesina that the
President asked each governor about specific developments in the various
states.
