It takes an inside effort to make an outside difference. To maintain a positive attitude and stay motivated, enthusiasm is a vital tool. Enthusiasm is to attitude what breathing is to life. It enables you apply your gifts more effectively. It engages the spirit that moves within. Enthusiasm derived from Greek words 'enthous' and 'entheos', means God or Spirit within.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Adults wait to compete before giving their best, while children don't care who is watching. They love a challenge; they love to let go. Enthusiasm is the inspiration to do what you're ought to do, to commit yourself to something with passion. Perhaps, Dr Metchef says, "enthusiasm is sharing what you have inside yourself with others. It is an internal spirit that speaks through your actions from your commitment". "Your talent is like a car. Your character is its fuel. You can have the most luxurious car but it will go nowhere without fuel" - Reno Omokri.
Just as enthusiasm keeps you motivated, humor is a powerful motivator. The more humor and laughter in your life, the less stress you'll have. "Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused" - Unknown. However, you have more positive energy to help you put your attitude into action. When you're able to laugh at life, your body muscles expand and contract, your blood circulation increases, and your digestive system improves. Learn to lighten up; it's an important step to staying motivated and keeping your enthusiasm alive.
The best coach with the strongest power over your performance is the coach that lives within you. There a wide variety of distractions to motivation - thus for one trying to escape negative moods and bad attitudes; read, go to the cinema or movies, play music, dance, go the filed or gym etc, as these activities breaks thought patterns. Hence, the best way to move to a more positvie and motivated frame of mind is to exercise.
