The Meal

A certain man walks into a restaurant, and after perusing through the menu, he orders for some meal. It's about thirty minutes since he entered the restaurant, thus he is yet to be served his order. A group of guys walks in, and order for a meal as well.

Disappointly to the man, these guys are served first before him. He watches as they eat and laugh heartily. He apparently overhears one of them brag he knows everyone at the restaurant. So they don't waste his time whenever he comes. They serve him fast there. The man feels he is being mocked, and contemplate leaving. No! I have waited so long: he realises. But unable to take it any longer, he calls a waiter.

The waiter answers him and calmly tells him: "your meal is a special order, sir. Is being prepared by the chief chef himself. For these guys, their orders were prepared hurriedly by students on attachment because the top chefs are busy with yours. That's why their meal didn't waste time to prepare and be served. Please have some juice as you wait".

He relaxes and waits. Shortly after, six waiters serve his meal.

Unaware to him, the owner of the restaurant (an old long lost friend) had seen him while coming and thus chose to surprise him. So he changes the man's simple meal to make it a five-star meal. These other guys look shocked at their table and they keep staring. Before you know it they start murmuring and asking why would they not get the same kind of service and meal.

This is just how life is. Some people are ahead of you; eating and enjoying life. Some are even making a mockery of you about how they know people more than you do. Others laughing at you about how they are well connected and how they're so blessed, with money and health. Therefore life is good and they enjoy it.

Have you been waiting for long? Perhaps, you're wondering why it's taking so long to get to your turn and breakthrough. You have been enduring mockery and humiliation. Maybe you have contemplated giving up and suicide. Hence, you have gone through depression or suffered severe mental anxiety.

I tell you not to worry! The owner and creator of this world have seen you. I'm sure He doesn't want to give you a simple meal like the one those laughing at you are eating. You're waiting this long because yours is a special meal. So relax. It takes time to prepare a five-star meal. Thus, is only the chief chef who prepares it.

Don't be perturbed by the situation today. Calm down and relax as you wait for your turn and breakthrough. When it comes those that laughed at you or spoke against you will be silenced for good.
